Pouring beer in Germany is different than in America. The glass fills with foam so the glass has to sit until the foam bubbles go away and you get a partial glass of beer. Then you add more beer foam, and wait again. You do this 4-5 times until you get a full glass of beer. So if you order a beer you will wait at least 10 minutes for that glass of beer to be delivered.
